Our client was an early adopter of IoT, introducing the idea of connected tire inflators, which can work even as the vehicle is in motion, as a method for improving fleet management at scale. However, the web-based IoT platform was challenging to maintain and difficult to scale. The company needed a well-architected, fully cloud-based system to improve cost control and scalability to accommodate rapid future growth, all without disrupting their current customers.

After re-platforming the connected tire product to AWS, the company could drive meaningful savings in casing life, fuel consumption, uptime, accident, and service failure avoidance. Rebuilding the solution and integrating AWS data analytics using IoT best practices helped to improve the functionality, scalability, and cost controls associated with the connected tire product.
